Conclusion Coagulum suction is a simple and fast method that can shorten the recovery following a facelift. This method cannot replace
surgical revision in cases in which there is substantial and/or persistent bleeding. However, it can reduce hematomas that
are large enough to delay healing and interfere with convalescence, yet too small to warrant surgical revision.

Axillary osmidrosis (AO) is characterized by an excessive, unpleasant odor that originates from the apocrine glands in the axillary area. The purpose of treatment is to eradicate the apocrine glands with minimal effect on the appearance of the axillary area. While many new techniques have proven effective (e.g., laser, suction-assisted liposuction), their application is limited by the need for specialized instrumentation. Here we present a simple, practical and radical surgical method based on limited incision. First, the area to be undermined is marked and an incision line of 2cm is cut into the subdermal fat tissue. We evert the flap strongly with index finger, dragging the skin flap with two mosquito forceps to expose the glands sufficiently. And the mosquito forceps is good at exposing…

Though liposuction is a simple procedure it has a high index of complications. Friction burns can be prevented by making the port site bigger, reducing the power of the liposuction, using lubricating gels at the cannula port site and to excise the cannula port site edges routinely before closing. Our technique is to use a small patch of tegaderm over the cannula site to avoid friction burns (). (Source: Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery)
