I am planning to have lipo on my hips/love handles and thighs. I have set up a few consultations with surgeons and want to make a descision that will yield the best results. What type of questions should I ask to determine if the surgeon will do a good job? I am an RN (no experience in plastics) so I am aware of the risk, procedure, medications, ect. But I am unsure how to pick the best surgeon….help!
I have thick arms, but it is all fat. I don’t work out at all! How do you feel about body sculpting/liposuction in general?
I don’t have a large body; I’m average sized.
If you are undecided about where or how to get a good liposuction surgeon, you can patronize several sources such as the internet or get a referral. Your personal doctor can give you a referral to an excellent liposuction surgeon. You can also get a tangible idea about how to get a good plastic surgeon from your general practitioner.
A person who is suffering from AIDS is a very poor candidate for liposuction because the immune system has been jeopardized. If an AIDS sufferer falls ill before a liposuction operation, death may follow because of the weak immune system. If you have AIDS, try and stick to more conventional ways of weight loss.
It’s not all joy and happiness as far as liposuction is concerned. There are often complications, just like any other thing in life. One common surgical complication in a liposuction is pulmonary edema. Pulmonary edema is the formation of a blood clot in the process of a liposuction and the sojourn of that blood clot to areas of the body such as the leg or the heart. When a blood clot gets to the heart, it becomes total and may end up killing a liposuction patient.
Liposuction is a form of surgery that is not limited to the theater. It can be done in a doctor’s office or an out patient center if it is not a complicated one. This type of liposuction is generally not expensive.
Liposuction is a process of removing fat from the body but it is not a substitute for diets and exercise. Taking diets that are nutritionally rich helps keep the body in shape and going for regular exercises enable the body to stay fit. Liposuction is expected to be the last option after diet and exercise have failed.
Patients who undergo liposuction feel depressed often. It is worse when it is about three days after surgery. Sometimes the depression lasts for weeks.
Before you go in for liposuction, define clearly your goals as this will help you select the appropriate technique for your surgery better. If you are not sure about what to expect from a liposuction procedure, don’t hesitate to ask questions and get informative answer. With liposuction, the more information you equip yourself with, the less ill at ease you will feel.
The cost for a liposuction procedure will be hinged on how much liposuction you want performed on your body. The cost of liposuction may also be dictated by the doctor who performs it or the location of the practice.
Breast liposuction is very effective in both men and women because the breasts contain fat tissue and not muscles, therefore they can be reduced successfully in one session in most cases depending on age and present state of health.
Most breast liposuction interventions do not need hospitalization, as the whole procedure takes approximately couple of hours and is done with local anesthesia. The recovery from such operations takes approximately 3 to 4 months depending on the intervention and the present health condition of the patient. There are however, a variety of after liposuction treatments and procedures that need to be followed precisely in order for the area to heal as desired.
Recovery from Breast Liposuction
The patient will experience lumps and bruises for a period of time depending from person to person but they will all disappear in a few months if you follow the exact direction of the doctor. Another important point will be the diet, which yet again needs to be followed precisely or else it can cause complications and further interventions may be necessary.
Breast liposuction is a essential surgery for those who suffer from the size of their breasts but also a stressful experience for at least a couple of months until it starts healing; all the support from family and friends will be needed at this time as it may get difficult at times getting through this experience on your own.
What Are the Chances of Breast Liposuction to Be a Success?
Breast liposuction is performed on a daily basis and if you follow the direction as given by the doctor, you have 100% changes to have a successful liposuction and the size of breast desired. Large breasts are at times a big burden in both men and women because they are uncomfortable and many times damaging to one’s appearance especially in men.
Get the look you desire with breast liposuction today; check with your medical insurance as, if the size of yore breasts affect your health you may be covered for the liposuctions cost partially or even fully depending on the insurance company and the type of health insurance you have.
I am appreciative of the pertinent comments made by Drs. Pannucci and Wilkins regarding the role of prophylactic anticoagulant therapy in aesthetic surgery. This provides me an opportunity to clarify my recommendations regarding the use of Lovenox (Sanofi Aventis, Bridgewater, NJ) in major combination body contouring cases. To be sure, I concur with the statement that if “a patient is truly within the highest-risk categories, we urge the surgeon to accept the minimal hematoma risk associated with providing potentially life-saving pharmacologic venous thromboembolic event [VTE] prophylaxis.” With a VTE event, the potential for death or even adverse long-term sequelae makes preventing this complication a higher priority than a hematoma. Nevertheless, the development of a major hematoma o…
