Conclusions  Atypical presentations of gynecomastia are often not recognized, with little attention to breast development in prepubertal
non-obese children. Since prepubertal gynecomastia could be a sign of possible underlying diseases, a thorough examination
and further research is recommended. If there is no causal treatment, surgical resection is the therapy of first choice. Peripheral
liposuction and surgical resection of the gland tissue are the mainstay of treatment. In summary, we describe two cases of
prepubertal unilateral gynecomastia with a normal endocrine workup. Further research is needed to establish the pathophysiologic
mechanisms of prepubertal gynecomastia, since underlying etiology in most cases remains unclear.

HIV-related facial atrophy is a common complication due to antiretroviral treatment. The social handicap due to this lipodystrophy increase the demand of surgical correction. The usual treatment is the Lipostructure((R)) described by Coleman. The hypertrophy is one of the complications which can occur after a correction by Lipostructure((R)). This complication is different from the overcorrection by the free time before his appearance. The treatment by liposuction is possible but there is a high risk of recurrence. The best treatment, after the literature review, seems to be the direct excision.

Conclusion  The Nd:YAG laser has a definite lipolysis effect on compact adipose tissue and is a more effective approach for the treatment
of localized adiposis than conventional liposuction.

Since Coleman’s studies, lipofilling has become an easy, reliable and reproducible surgical technique particularly in severe Romberg’s syndrome that is characterised by a progressive facial hemi-atrophy of cutaneous and subcutaneous tissues. Considering a young patient case, the authors expose a rare complication of lipofilling: deterioration of the aesthetic results after a significative weight gain due to corticosteroids, oral contraception and a change of lifestyle. Lipofilling is an adipocyte graft realised after centrifugation of liposuction products. Thus, the increasing volume of the fat graft remains hypertrophic and hyperplasic theories. Indeed, the technique produces a concentrated fat graft that realises an asy… Source: MedWorm: Liposuction
