It’s called gynecomastia, and is usually due to either an excess of the female hormone estrogen or low levels of the male hormone testosterone. It can occur in babies, teen boys, and adult men. Step 2: Realize it may be temporary If you are a teen, realize that your breast enlargement is probably the temporary result of raging hormones, and will clear up on its own after puberty. Gynecomastia in babies usually resolves itself on its own, too.
