Abstract  The authors treated a case of bilateral accessory axillary breast tissue. Excision with histologic examination confirmed the
diagnosis of fibroadenoma. Treatment left the woman with incision scars (3.5 cm) in the axillary pyramid, a location often
not seen during a patient’s normal movements. Thus, despite a minor aesthetic incision, gives the advantage of complete histologic
analysis was gained. Liposuction treatment was used in this case. The scar results were good.

Accessory breast tissue is a remnant persisting after normal embryological development of the breast. Although accessory breasts may be asymptomatic, they can cause discomfort during menstruation, anxiety, cosmetic problems, pain, or restriction of arm movement. The data of all patients who presented with axillary accessory breasts between January 2000 and September 2008 were recruited from a computer database. Medical charts, outpatient records, operative notes, and pathology reports were reviewed. Conclusion  The VASER is safe and effective for treatment of axillary hyperhidrosis/bromidrosis. The method is minimally invasive with
immediate return to basic activities and only temporary minor restriction of arm movement. At 6 months the treatment appears
to be long-lasting, but further follow-up is required for verification of permanence. This method has become the standard
of care for the treatment of axillary hyperhidrosis/bromidrosis in the authors’ practice.

Axillary osmidrosis (AO) is characterized by an excessive, unpleasant odor that originates from the apocrine glands in the axillary area. The purpose of treatment is to eradicate the apocrine glands with minimal effect on the appearance of the axillary area. While many new techniques have proven effective (e.g., laser, suction-assisted liposuction), their application is limited by the need for specialized instrumentation. Here we present a simple, practical and radical surgical method based on limited incision. First, the area to be undermined is marked and an incision line of 2cm is cut into the subdermal fat tissue.
